sk eats...The Corn´clair

Corn Ice

In North America, corn is a vegetable, and that's it.  In Southeast Asia, corn is so much more.  It's added to almost everything from sandwiches to pizza to crackers.  These crazy Asians will even put corn through the juicer!  It's awesome!

Lotte's Corn Ice, a frozen treat we like to call The Corn´clair, shows the true versatility of God's finest creation, sweet corn.  What's not to like about chocolate dipped, corn flavored ice cream (with kernels of real corn) nestled safely in a cob-shaped wafer?  Nothing, that's what!

It looks so real!

We know what you're thinking, "corn flavored ice cream sounds awful and especially awful when dipped into chocolate," but you're wrong.  Corn ice cream is actually pretty good.  Somehow they've managed to maintain corn's distinct corn flavor while blending it with a vanilla/sweet cream/custard ice cream.  It's good, and it goes well with the dark chocolate it's dipped in.

Sure, it's not the first treat we pull from the grocer's freezer, nor is corn ice cream something you can regularly consume and enjoy, but the folks at Lotte have hit the mark with Corn Ice.  If you were looking for a reason to visit, you've just found it!
