Election Posters

School elections are not quite like we remember them being when we were in high school.  At Andrew's school, the students' campaigning consisted of standing at the entrance to the school on the morning before and morning of the vote greeting the teachers and other students as they came to school while holding posters and shouting things at them.  There were also three hastily made posters taped to a wall, and that was it.  Very uninvolved, and ghetto (much like his school).

The Campaign Wall

Party #1's proposals:

1.  Game Day
2.  Sports Day
3.  Something about 1st and 2nd graders
4.  Something about the newspaper

Party #2 sprung for lamenting their poster, which reflected the flash and made the photo blurry.  Clearly, they had more money than Party #1 and Party #3, which was probably why they won!

Party #3 was Andrew's favorite.  Below proposal 5, there was a piece of foil taped to the poster as a mirror and in English it said, "See you in 5!"  Someone didn't like that and ripped it down, but Andrew thought it was nice!

At Judy's school, however, student council elections were a bit more extreme.  It was clear that a lot more money went into the election at her school.  The students didn't use markers or crayons to make their posters.  These bad boys were designed on a computer and professionally printed!

If she can lose 10 KG, then she must be qualified!

Baby 1 more Time!

Her nickname is Tuna!  And she's OK with that!

The outlaw vote...

Judy isn't certain, but she thinks #3 (the one that lost 10 KG) ended up taking the victory.  A few months after the election, she was in charge of organizing an after school talent show/concert which may or may not have been one of her student council responsibilities.
